Hello Gorgeous..Emboss resist using Ink Road Stamps

Hello!

Ink Road stamps recently released a beautiful
4 x 6 stamp set titled Hello Gorgeous. It is beautiful handwritten text along with a grouping of flowers. This set was also released with dies. The dies are huge and the flower grouping cuts amazing.

I decided to use a heat emboss resist technique with this set. Emboss resist is so much fun and so simple to do.  When you add embossing to a panel and cover it with ink the ink will resist the area's that are embossed. The ink sits on top of the embossing. Once you take a towel and buff it off the shine of the embossing appears again.
Check out the video here..

I wanted to add additional dimension to the card along with some watercoloring. I decided to heat emboss the group of flowers, but also heat emboss them again on watercolor paper and use my ZIG Clean Color Real Watercolor Brush Pens. It is so easy to watercolor with these pens and the results are always beautiful. Using the die from the die set I cut out the flowers and added them with foam adhesive to give it extra dimension.

This was a simple card to create that you could easily create a bunch with different colors at one time to have on hand.

Birthday Card Featuring Studio Katia Kobi Bearing Gifts

Hello!

Today I created with my first Studio Katia stamp set. I fell in love with this adorable stamp set Kobi Bearing Gifts and the coordinating dies from the May release.  So many amazing stamps and stencils in this release!

I decided to stamp Kobi out and color the image with copic markers. I used earth tones for Kobi and rainbow for the gifts. I wanted this cutie to be the focus of the card, therefor, I decided to keep the background simple. I used the new Lawn Fawn Itsy Bitsy Poka Dot Background  and my favorite paper release from Lawn Fawn Really Rainbow paper pad to create a rainbow background to compliment the gifts.

For the Happy Birthday sentiment I used Concord & 9th Enjoy it All stamp set heat embossed on a sentiment strip cut down from Neenah  80 lb solar white card stock.  I hope this gives you inspiration for your next birthday card creation!

Creating with Ink Road Stamps

Hello!!

Today I finally got the chance to play with three amazing sets from  Ink Road Stamps. This company has become one of my favorite the past few months. I love the creative, out of the box stamp sets that Lara creates.

There is also a awesome Facebook community page. Members of the group get information on upcoming events and also help name future stamp sets along with  having a place to inspire and showcase wonderful creations using The Ink Road stamps. Check it out!

They also have this awesome first time buyer program- you can get 50% off! Click HERE for information and the link.

Today I used two sets. The One With All The Stamps , Blended and Compliments Volume 1 Blended is my favorite set. It is unique and includes members of our families that often get left out in the stamping world.

The first cards using  The One With All The Stamps I wanted to use as many of the stamps as possible. I decided to lay them out in my Misti and stamp one with versamark ink on kraft cardstock and the other with black ink on white cardstock.

My favorite quote from the set is "You're my Lobster." Phoebe kept telling Ross that Rachael was his "lobster." To make it stand out I used Ranger red embossing powder on the lobster and sentiment.

The other I card I added a sentiment in the center about giving up and thought it would make a great encouragement card. Both cards were very simple to make and a lot of fun.

For the card using Blended and Compliments Volume 2 I used Gansai Tambi Starry Colors with Lawn Fawn black licorice card stock to create a beautiful background using the mosaic heart from Blended. I used a sentiment from Compliments Volume 2 heat embossed in silver. I encourage you to try watercoloring with the starry colors. They are so easy to use and make you appear as if you have been watercoloring your whole life. :)
