Merry Christmas Over Again

Happy Wednesday! Today the team is all about Christmas. For this card I used the Christmas Over Again background stamp from Unity and Brutus Monroe and Deco foil transfer gel to create a foiled background.  Deco foil gel is a transfer get that once dried, you can add foil to create a fun foiled project using stencils, stamps etc. When you are using it on stamps as I did with this project you have to immediately wash your stamp with warm water. If the gel dries it will ruin your stamp.

To begin, I added the gel to the entire background stamp using an ink blending pad. I worked very quickly and only added a thin layer. The gel was transferred to a piece of midnight cardstock using a Misti Stamp Positioning tool. Once the gel is dry it will turn clear. Because there was only a thin layer applied the gel dried very quickly.
Next, Sunrise foil was added using a laminator. The sentiment is from the Yuletide Greetings set.  It is heat embossed using Gilded embossing powder on heat resistant vellum. For extra interest a piece of gold and off white ribbon is wrapped under the sentiment.

To finish off the card, the panel was added to a piece of Scarlet glitterstock.
Foiling is a great tool to use to make your cards look fabulous in a short amount of time. The  Deco foil transfer gel makes it so easy to foil your cards for any occasion.
